The Orbit In is situated in the middle of Palm Springs, in the historical Tennis District, a few blocks away from Palm Canyon Drive. A pearl from the 50's that was acquired by retro connoisseur Christy Eugenis and Stan Amy. The pair has carefully restored the hotel to it's former glory with a mix of 50's kitsch and Rat-Pack aesthetic. From the hotel you have a fantastic view of the mountains in the back-ground. All 10 rooms have their own unique personality paying homage to a certain designer or style. The Martini room, the Bertoia room and the Atomic Paradise to name a few.
"The selection process to find furniture and pieces of art to suit the different rooms, is a careful one", says Christy. The bar by the pool, the Boomerang Bar, is one of the hotels natural meeting places. Guests meet for cocktails at dusk drinking the special drink of the house, the Orbitini, casually straddling bar stools designed by Pepe Cortez. Guests often end up going out to dinner together at one of Palm Springs many restaurants, finding a common interest in design and architecture as a topic of conversation.
